Geoffrey Scott “Geoff” Jenkins is a former professional baseball outfielder, who played in Major League Baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers from 1998 to 2007 and the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008. During his run with the Phillies, they won The World Series. He is in the top 300 Major League Baseball leaders in home runs of all time. He is also listed fourth on the Brewers’ all-time career home run list.
Jenkins was selected in the first round of the 1995 MLB draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He spent the 1995–1998 seasons in the Milwaukee farm system before making his major league debut in April 1998 as an early-season call-up with the Brewers. He was the Brewers’ team MVP in 2000. Jenkins went on to sign on with the Philadelphia Phillies in December 2007. In 2008, he made his return to Miller Park in a Phillies uniform to a crowd of over 30,000 fans. Jenkins was greeted with a video tribute showcasing his ten-year stint with the Brewers, as well as a standing ovation. Jenkins set the tone for Game 5 of the World Series with a leadoff double in the bottom of the sixth inning. Jenkins earned his first World Series ring in his 11-year career when the Phillies went on to win the World Series.
Following his playing career, Jenkins worked as a coach with the 2013 Peoria Explorers of the now-defunct Independent Freedom Pro Baseball League. Beyond baseball Jenkins has been a franchise owner in the Phoenix Arizona-based F45 Training Centers since March of 2019.
