Gina Grad, born on May 1, 1978, in Overland Park, Kansas, has established herself as a notable radio personality and voice-over artist. After attending the University of Kansas, her broadcasting career began in November 2006 at the now-defunct 97.1FM KLSX as an overnight phone screener. She then transitioned to a role on “The Tim Conway Jr. Show” as a producer, phone screener, nightly news girl, and fill-in co-host. Following the format change of KLSX in 2009, she launched the “Pretty Good Podcast” with Randy Wang, which ran daily from May 2009 to February 2015. Her early career also included positions at KFI am640, producing for Gary Hoffmann’s Sunday morning show and the “Bill Handel Show,” and contributing to “The Bill Carroll Show.”
Grad further expanded her career by joining the 100.3FM ‘The Sound’ KSWD in February 2015, initially co-hosting “Mark in the Morning” and later leading “Andy and Gina in the Morning.” In the same year, she became a co-host on “The Adam Carolla Show,” where she provided news segments alongside Bryan Bishop until January 2023. Her radio presence continued with a return to LA radio in 2020 as a news anchor for “The Tim Conway Jr. Show.” Currently, Gina Grad is a full-time member of “The Woody Show” on Alt 98.7, a position she officially began on September 12, 2024. Beyond radio, she has lent her voice to numerous video games and animated productions, including voicing Rose in “Street Fighter IV” and “Street Fighter V.” She also co-hosted the podcast “Easy Listening With Gina and Teresa” on PodcastOne from April 2019 to November 2023.
Throughout her career, Gina Grad has received industry recognition, including the 2016 Reelworld Rising Star Award and the 2017 Excellence in Radio Award from the Alliance for Women in Media. Her voice-over credits include roles in “Syndicate,” “Texhnolyze,” “Paranoia Agent,” “Ergo Proxy,” “Connected,” and “Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria.” She has also made appearances on “The Young Turks” online news network from 2013 to 2015. Grad has also engaged in charitable efforts, such as spearheading an on-air campaign in early 2016 to assist a teenager with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma through The Hugging Angels Foundation.
