Glen Davis, otherwise known by his nickname of ‘Big Baby’, is the huge athlete best known for his career as a long time basketball player.
Beginning his career in high school, Davis was listed at the thirteenth overall player in the nation, and the third best power forward. This meant he was also named a McDonalds All American in 2004. His prowess stood him in good stead for university, where he earned the SEC Player Of The Year Award, and the First Team All American Award, also helping the team at LSU reach the 2006 NCAA Final Four tournament, the team’s first attendance in two decades.
Once with the Boston Celtics, Davis helped the team to become a true force of nature, a team who not only enjoyed a six game winning streak over the Lakers, but also won an NBA Championship in their rookie year, and achieved great things during what is now referred to as the Big Three era, with incredible players Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. From there, Davis moved to the Orlando Magic, and it was there that he achieved several career highs, averaging fifteen points and seven rebounds a game, hitting the peak of his career with an incredible thirty three points against the Philadelphia 76ers. Most recently, Davis signed with the St. John’s Edge of the National Basketball League of Canada, was named to the All-NBLC Third Team in the 2018-2019 season, and helped Power win the BIG3 championship in the same year.
