Before her musical breakthrough, Leer demonstrated exceptional athleticism, earning a Division 1 soccer scholarship to the University of California, Berkeley.
After earning her degree from Berkeley, Leer relocated to Nashville in 2017 to pursue country music, where she balanced a full-time sales position with dedicated songwriting and performing for four years. In 2020, Leer auditioned for Season 18 of American Idol, where her powerful performance of ‘Natural Woman’ during the Top 40 Showcase captivated audiences and led to her advancement to the Top 10. Following her impactful run on the show, Leer secured significant industry partnerships, including a record and publishing deal with 19 Entertainment/Industrial Media, a management deal with Red Light Management, a publishing deal with Empire Publishing, and a booking agreement with UTA. She made her celebrated debut at the historic Ryman Auditorium in November 2020.
