Gregg Hughes, known as Opie, is a renowned radio personality and podcast host, recognized for his extensive career in terrestrial and satellite radio, engaging audiences with his distinctive on-air style. After launching ‘The Nighttime Attitude’ at WBAB on Long Island, Gregg Hughes, known professionally as Opie, initiated a pivotal collaboration with Anthony Cumia in 1994. This partnership officially formed the ‘Opie and Anthony’ duo in 1995 at WAAF in Boston, marking the breakthrough moment in a career that began after Hughes graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a degree in communications. His early experience included air shifts at the university station and a role in promotions at WCMF in Rochester, New York, before transitioning to an on-air position.

He then helmed ‘The Opie Radio Show’ before concluding his impactful tenure at SiriusXM in 2017.
