Harvey Daniel James Elliott was born on April 4, 2003, in Chertsey, Surrey, and showed an early interest in football, supporting Liverpool FC. He began his youth career with Queens Park Rangers after being rejected by Chelsea for his size. He then joined Fulham’s academy, where he made his first-team debut on September 25, 2018, at the age of 15 years and 174 days, becoming the club’s youngest-ever first-team player and the youngest to play in the EFL Cup. His Premier League debut followed on May 4, 2019, making him the youngest-ever Premier League player at 16 years and 30 days old at the time.
Elliott signed with Liverpool FC on July 28, 2019. He made his Liverpool debut in September 2019, becoming the club’s youngest-ever player to start a match at 16 years and 174 days, and later the youngest to start a match at Anfield. In October 2020, he moved to Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan, where he scored 7 goals and provided 11 assists in the Championship during the 2020-21 season, earning a nomination for the EFL Young Player of the Season award. He returned to Liverpool, and despite suffering a significant ankle injury in September 2021, he made a comeback in February 2022, scoring his first Liverpool goal and contributing to their Carabao Cup and FA Cup victories.
He continued to establish himself in the Liverpool squad, making his UEFA Champions League debut and scoring his first Champions League goal in October 2022. During the 2023-24 season, he became a regular first-team player and helped Liverpool secure another EFL Cup win. In June 2025, Elliott was a key player for England’s U21 team, scoring five goals and being named Player of the Tournament as they won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship for the second time in a row. As of September 1, 2025, Elliott is on loan to Aston Villa with an obligation to buy.
