Discovered by a talent scout at 13, she joined ABS-CBN’s Star Magic in 1999. Her television debut in 2000 on the youth-oriented series ‘G-mik!’ quickly gained her recognition, and she earned a PMPC Star Award for Best New Female TV Personality in 2001. Throughout the early 2000s, Evangelista appeared in various teen-focused programs and films, including ‘Berks’ and ‘My First Romance,’ and co-hosted the variety show ‘ASAP.’ She transitioned to more mature roles, starring in the primetime drama ‘Hiram’ in 2004, which earned her a Star Award for Best Drama Actress nomination, and became a video jockey for the music channel Myx. Her early career also saw her in lead roles in shows like ‘Panday’ (2005).
