Hilary Farr

Hilary Farr began her professional career in Los Angeles, establishing herself by purchasing and renovating homes while simultaneously working as a film and television set designer. During this period, she also took on acting roles, appearing in films such as “Layout for 5 Models” (1972), “Sex Farm” (1973), and a notable role in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (1975). Farr also performed in a London stage production of “Grease” in 1973, showcasing her diverse talents across design and performance. Farr continued to develop her prominent career in home renovation and design, undertaking projects across multiple international markets including Australia, the United Kingdom, California, New York, and Toronto.

After over a decade of groundbreaking work and widespread acclaim, Farr concluded her role on “Love It or List It” in 2023, citing a desire to focus on new ventures, including the continued expansion of her solo series and a focus on personal renovation projects.
