Seth Curry

Seth Adham Curry was born on August 23, 1990, in Charlotte, North Carolina. His early life was shaped by basketball, with his father, Dell Curry, being a former NBA player for the Charlotte Hornets. Growing up, Seth and his older brother, Stephen Curry, frequently attended their father’s games, often participating in warm-ups with the team. Seth attended Charlotte Christian School, where he was a three-year starter for the Knights’ basketball team. During his senior year, Curry averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, achieving all-conference, all-state, and first-team SAA All-American honors. His high school career saw Charlotte Christian achieve a 105–24 overall record, including a state final appearance in 2006. He also consistently maintained academic honor roll status throughout his four years.

Following high school, Curry began his college basketball career at Liberty University, where he led all freshmen nationally in scoring with 20.2 points per game, setting a Big South Conference freshman single-season scoring record. He later transferred to Duke University, where he sat out the 2009–10 season due to NCAA transfer rules. At Duke, Curry continued to wear the number 30, a nod to his family’s basketball legacy. As a redshirt sophomore, he became a starter and showcased his scoring ability, including a season-high 22 points against North Carolina in 2011 and a career-high 31 points against Santa Clara in 2012. He concluded his collegiate career with first-team All-ACC and second-team All-American accolades from The Sporting News in 2013.

Undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, Curry began his professional journey in the NBA Development League with the Santa Cruz Warriors. He subsequently signed short-term contracts with NBA teams such as the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Phoenix Suns before gaining a more consistent role. His career progression saw him establish himself as a valuable perimeter shooter and playmaker across multiple NBA franchises, including the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks (multiple stints), Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets. Notable achievements include consistently ranking among the league’s top three-point shooters and leading the NBA in three-point field goal percentage during the 2024-25 season. In October 2025, he joined his brother Stephen Curry on the Golden State Warriors, reuniting them on the court for the first time since 2013.
