Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi, a critically acclaimed Indian actress, is recognized for her diverse roles across Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and American cinema, bringing a strong presence to both films and web series. After being discovered by director Anurag Kashyap during a Samsung Mobile commercial shoot, Huma Qureshi secured a three-film deal with his company, culminating in her acclaimed Hindi film debut in 2012. Her significant supporting role in Kashyap’s two-part crime drama, Gangs of Wasseypur, premiered at the 65th Cannes Film Festival and earned her nominations for Best Female Debut and Best Supporting Actress at the Filmfare Awards. Prior to her acting breakthrough, Qureshi signed a two-year contract with Hindustan Unilever for television commercials in 2008.

Her recent film credits include appearances in the action thriller Bellbottom (2021), the noir crime comedy Monica, O My Darling (2022), and the titular role in the 2023 biopic Tarla, where she portrayed the renowned chef Tarla Dalal.
