James Carpinello has built a career across Broadway, film, and television, known for his versatility in both musical theatre and dramatic roles. After making his Broadway debut in 1999 as Tony Manero in ‘Saturday Night Fever,’ James Carpinello established a versatile career spanning musical theatre, film, and television. His early success on Broadway, portraying the iconic character, showcased his abilities as a singer, dancer, and actor, solidifying his presence in the theatrical world. Carpinello quickly expanded his work into film, starring as Bobby Saint and John Saint in ‘The Punisher’ (2004) and Cpl.
Aliteri in ‘The Great Raid’ (2005). He also appeared on television in ‘So Notorious’ as Pete (2006) before returning to Broadway, where he was cast as Sonny in the musical ‘Xanadu’ (2007) and delivered a memorable performance as Stacee Jaxx in ‘Rock of Ages’ (2009). Carpinello maintained a consistent presence in television, securing the role of Detective Anthony Burton in ‘The Good Wife’ (2010) and appearing as Joey Durban in multiple episodes of ‘Person of Interest’ (2011, 2016). He then took on a series regular role as Franco Leoni in ‘The Mob Doctor’ (2012-2013).
