Jaxson Ryker, born Chad Lail, is an American retired professional wrestler celebrated for his impactful career in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Starting his journey in the wrestling world in 2001 under the moniker Phil Shatter, Lail quickly made a mark on independent promotions before catching the attention of TNA in 2010.
Under the menacing persona of Gunner, he became a key member of the villainous faction known as Immortal, clinching the TNA Television Championship during his tenure. Transitioning into a solo and tag team career after Immortal, Gunner found success alongside James Storm, capturing the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
In 2015, Chad Lail bid farewell to TNA and, in 2017, embarked on a new chapter with WWE. Renamed Jaxson Ryker in the NXT developmental brand, he showcased his skills and versatility in the squared circle. Notably, in 2018, he formed The Forgotten Sons alongside Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler, bringing a formidable presence to the tag team scene.
The Forgotten Sons made waves on SmackDown from April to June 2020, solidifying their place in WWE. Jaxson Ryker’s journey with WWE concluded in November 2021 when he was released from the company.
