JD McPherson launched his music career with the release of his debut album, ‘Signs and Signifiers,’ in 2010 on Hi-STYLE Records. The album was re-released in 2012 by Rounder Records, where it achieved significant chart success, debuting at number one on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart and reaching number 161 on the Billboard 200. McPherson’s distinctive retro rock and roll, rockabilly, and R&B sound quickly garnered industry attention, leading Rolling Stone to acknowledge him as an ‘Artist to Watch’ in November 2012, alongside a 3½-star review for the album. He released ‘Let the Good Times Roll’ in 2015, followed by ‘Undivided Heart & Soul’ in 2017, and the festive collection ‘Socks’ in 2018, each further cementing his unique musical style and songwriting prowess. Beyond his solo recordings, McPherson has lent his talents to producing, notably helming The Cactus Blossoms’ album ‘You’re Dreaming,’ released in 2015.
