Recognized as the first Black woman to document visiting every country in the world, Jessica Nabongo completed an unprecedented global journey on October 6, 2019, when she arrived in the Seychelles, marking her 195th country. This extensive quest, which she embarked on in February 2017 to visit all 193 UN member countries and two non-member observing states, built upon her previous travels to 60 countries by 2016. Nabongo cultivated a diverse professional foundation, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. John’s University, followed by a Master’s degree in international development from the London School of Economics.
Through Jet Black, her ongoing collaborations as a brand influencer, and her continued public engagements, she remains dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the world. Her work continues to resonate across various platforms, reinforcing her legacy as a trailblazer who redefined the possibilities of global exploration and inspired a new generation of travelers.
