Jimmy Garoppolo

Jimmy Garoppolo has established himself as a prominent NFL quarterback, leading teams to significant victories and Super Bowl appearances. After a distinguished collegiate career culminating in the 2013 Walter Payton Award as the Division I Football Championship Subdivision’s most outstanding offensive player and being named Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Jimmy Garoppolo was selected by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft as the 62nd overall pick. In his four seasons with the Patriots, Garoppolo contributed to two Super Bowl-winning teams, XLIX in 2015 and LI in 2017, serving as a valuable component of the championship roster. In October 2017, Garoppolo was traded to the San Francisco 49ers, marking a pivotal career moment.

He immediately transformed a 1–10 team, leading them to five consecutive victories to close out the season. This impressive performance secured him a five-year, $137.5 million contract with the 49ers in 2018, which was, at the time, the largest contract in NFL history on an annual basis. His most notable season came in 2019, guiding the 49ers to the top conference seed and a Super Bowl LIV appearance. That same year, he earned second place for the AP Comeback Player of the Year award.

Building on his extensive NFL experience, Garoppolo signed with the Los Angeles Rams in 2024, followed by a re-signing with the team in 2025. His career highlights prominently feature two Super Bowl championships with the New England Patriots and leading the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance as a starting quarterback.
