Prince Amukamara is an Football cornerback who plays in the National Football League (NFL), and is currently a free agent. An incredible athletic talent, he found widespread recognition while playing college football for Nebraska, during which time he earned unanimous All-American honours. His career took off, however, when he was selected by the iconic sports franchise the New York Giants in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. One of his most memorable games was his victory in the Super Bowl XLVI when he was a member of the Giants’ championship team as a rookie against his hometown team, the New England Patriots. Amukamara has had a hugely successful career throughout his time in the NFL, playing for the Jackson Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals.
After playing for the New York Giants for 5 years and winning the Super Bowl with them, Amukamara continued to further his career by first signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars and then the Chicago Bears. At both teams he successfully proved himself by competing against some highly skilled talents during the training camps at each team to get selected as the starting cornerback.
Outside of excelling at football, Amukumara is an ambassador for Up2Us Sports, a national non-profit organisation that is dedicated to supporting the under-privileged youth by providing them with coaches trained in positive youth development. A fantastic sportsman and inspirational figure, Amukamara is still set on boosting his football career and is always looking for new ways to take the quality of his game to the next level.
