Juliet Sear

Juliet Sear is an English baker, author, and television personality known for her extensive career in baking, cake decorating, and media appearances, offering expert insights and creative instruction to a broad audience. After founding her cake bakery, Fancy Nancy, in Leigh-on-Sea in 2008, Juliet Sear rapidly established herself as a leading baking authority, with her custom creations stocked in high-end stores including Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason. She shared her expertise teaching at Leith’s School of Food and Wine and contributing articles to publications like LoveFood. Her debut book, ‘The Cake Decorating Bible,’ published in 2012, solidified her reputation for expert insights and creative instruction.

In 2017, Juliet Sear significantly increased her public visibility, joining ITV’s ‘This Morning’ as their resident baking expert, a role she continues to hold. That same year, she launched her YouTube channel and published her third cookbook, ‘Kawaii Cakes,’ followed by ‘Botanical Baking’ in 2018. Her career reached a milestone in late 2019, hosting her own 10-part Sunday morning ITV series, ‘Beautiful Baking with Juliet Sear.’ By this time, her custom cake clientele included Ian McKellen, Louise Roe, Bryan Adams, and Prince Harry, with her recipes regularly featured in BBC Good Food, Hello!, and SquareMeal. In 2021, she contributed edible characters for ‘The Great British Bake-Off’ on Channel 4.

Most recently, in May 2024, HarperCollins acquired rights for her sixth cookbook, ‘Air Fryer Baking Magic,’ which swiftly became a Sunday Times bestseller, showcasing her continued culinary innovation. That same year, Sear joined the esteemed Guild of Food Writers, underscoring her ongoing industry influence. Demonstrating a commitment to community engagement, she also became an ambassador for Leukaemia UK in 2024.
