Kadidiatou Diani was born on April 1, 1995, in Ivry-sur-Seine, France. She began her youth career at ES Vitry from 2005 to 2007, followed by US Ivry from 2007 to 2010. Her development continued at Paris FC (women) from 2010 to 2014, where she honed her skills as a forward. Diani commenced her senior club career with Paris FC (formerly Juvisy) in 2011, making 73 appearances and scoring 22 goals by 2017. During this period, she also represented France at various youth international levels, including the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2012, where she scored four goals and helped France win the championship. She also participated in the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, contributing to France’s third-place finish.
In 2017, Diani transferred to Paris Saint-Germain Féminine, where she played a pivotal role for six seasons until 2023. At Paris Saint-Germain, she made 114 appearances and scored 74 goals, securing the Division 1 Féminine title in 2020–21 and two Coupe de France Féminine titles in 2017–18 and 2021–22. Her individual performance was recognized with the Division 1 Féminine Player of the Year award in 2020–21 and multiple selections to the UNFP Première Ligue team of the year. In 2023, Diani joined Olympique Lyonnais Féminin on a four-year contract. With Lyon, she has continued to perform, notably becoming the UEFA Women’s Champions League top scorer and being named to the UEFA Women’s Champions League Team of the Season in 2023–24. She also earned the FIFA Women’s World Cup Silver Boot in 2023, scoring a hat-trick in a group stage match against Panama.
On the international stage, Diani has been a consistent presence for the France national team since 2014, accumulating 118 caps and 31 goals. She has participated in major tournaments including the UEFA Women’s Euro (2017, 2022) and the FIFA Women’s World Cup (2019, 2023), and was named to France’s squad for the 2024 Olympics. Her career trajectory demonstrates consistent high-level performance and adaptation across different club environments and international competitions.
