About

K.D. Aubert, born Karen Denise Aubert on December 6, 1978, in Shreveport, Louisiana, began her professional journey in the early 2000s as a model. Initially discovered working at a Macy’s make-up counter, her modeling career quickly progressed. She signed with LA Models in 2001, working internationally as a runway model, and then moved to print modeling with Elite models (LA), where she secured major campaigns. Her modeling work included prestigious brands such as Victoria’s Secret, Noxzema, Frederick’s of Hollywood, and Escada. Aubert also gained recognition as one of the original “Fantanas,” portraying Nina, the Strawberry Fantana, in Fanta soda television commercials. Her visibility in these campaigns led to features in Maxim magazine, where she was ranked among the Maxim Hot 100 Women in both 2003 and 2004.

Simultaneously, Aubert transitioned into acting. Her first major role came in 2002 in the film “Friday After Next,” following her first audition. The same year, she appeared in “The Scorpion King.” In 2003, she joined the cast of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” as Nikki Wood and secured a leading role in “Hollywood Homicide.” Her filmography expanded to include roles in independent films like “Dysenchanted” and “Easy,” and she starred alongside notable actors in the comedy “Soul Plane.” Following her work on the sci-fi movie “Frankenfish,” she took a guest star role on FOX’s “Bones.” Throughout her career, Aubert has appeared in commercials for brands such as Old Spice, Bacardi, Miller Lite, Go Daddy, Beats By Dr. Dre, and Cola, and worked with George Clooney for Nespresso.

Beyond her acting and modeling career, Aubert established her own record label, Roseland. She is also actively involved in philanthropy, having founded The Helpful Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting U.S. Veterans with mental health issues and homelessness. Additionally, she engages with incarcerated youth and organizes events for inner-city youths. In 2013, Aubert received an Africa Movie Academy Award for her role in “Turning Point.” Her career continues with recent appearances in films like “She Ball” (2020), “A Sir Charles Christmas” (2023), “Momma Said Come Home for Christmas” (2023), “Bomb Pizza” (2023), and “Born 2 Hustle” (2023), demonstrating her sustained presence in the entertainment industry.
