Kristin Skaslien

Kristin Skaslien is an Olympic medalist curler who has transitioned her expertise from the ice to a project leadership role within the Norwegian Curling Federation, applying her analytical skills and competitive drive. After securing a silver medal at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in mixed doubles, Kristin Skaslien established herself as a prominent figure in international curling, further cementing her legacy with a bronze medal at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics alongside partner Magnus Nedregotten. Skaslien has represented Norway extensively throughout her career, participating in nine World Women’s Curling Championships, nine World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships, and sixteen European Curling Championships. Her early successes included a bronze medal at the 2015 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Sochi, followed by her initial Olympic triumph in 2018, where the bronze medal was reallocated after a doping violation by opponents.

Most recently, she added another bronze medal at the 2024 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Beyond the ice, Skaslien holds an engineering degree in logistics from the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, complemented by a Master’s in technology management from Trondheim Business School. These academic qualifications underscore her analytical acumen. Leveraging her extensive competitive background and academic expertise, Skaslien has transitioned into a project leadership role within the Norwegian Curling Federation.

As a project lead and trainer, she applies her strategic insights and competitive drive to further develop the sport. Prior to this, she gained valuable professional experience as an operations analyst for a maritime company, demonstrating a proven capacity for leadership and analytical problem-solving off the ice.
