Larry Fedora is a distinguished Football coach and former player, currently serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Baylor University. His coaching journey began at Austin College, where he transitioned from a wide receiver to a graduate assistant in 1986. Fedora quickly made his mark in high school Football, coaching at Garland High School, before returning to the collegiate level to develop players at Baylor from 1991 to 1996, where he honed his skills in coaching tight ends, wide receivers, and running backs.
In 1999, Fedora took on the role of offensive coordinator at Middle Tennessee State University, showcasing his innovative offensive strategies. His success led him to the University of Florida, where he served as offensive coordinator from 2004 to 2005, contributing to a dynamic offense that helped elevate the Gators’ performance. Following this, he joined Oklahoma State University as offensive coordinator, where he was recognized as one of the top-paid coordinators in the nation, further solidifying his reputation in the coaching community.
Fedora’s head coaching career began at Southern Miss from 2008 to 2011, where he led the Golden Eagles to impressive offensive seasons, including a record-breaking performance in his debut game. His tenure at the University of North Carolina from 2012 to 2018 was marked by significant achievements, including winning the ACC Coastal Division in 2015, showcasing his ability to lead teams to success.
