Lauren Jackson is an iconic Australian basketball player, renowned globally for her exceptional skill and leadership on the court. After being selected as the first overall pick in the 2001 WNBA draft by the Seattle Storm, Lauren Jackson quickly established herself as a foundational player in the league. Prior to her WNBA debut, Jackson achieved her goal of playing for the Australian national team by age 16. She joined the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) basketball team in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) in 1997, leading the AIS to a WNBL championship in the 1998-99 season.

Her final retirement from professional basketball in 2024 marks the conclusion of an unparalleled career, leaving an indelible mark on the global basketball stage.
