Anna Gasser

Anna Gasser is an Olympic gold medalist and world champion snowboarder, known for her record-breaking tricks and continued dominance in big air and slopestyle. After becoming the first female snowboarder to successfully land a cab double cork 900 in 2013, Anna Gasser quickly established herself as a dominant force in freestyle snowboarding. Her competitive career officially began in the 2010/2011 season, and by 2013, she made her World Cup debut, earning her first podium finish in Stoneham, Canada. Gasser then made her first Olympic appearance at Sochi 2014, where she qualified in the top spot for the inaugural Olympic slopestyle competition, ultimately placing tenth.

She continued to build on this experience, securing a slopestyle silver medal at the 2015 World Championships held in Kreischberg, Austria, further solidifying her presence on the international stage. Gasser’s career escalated significantly in the 2016/17 season, where she earned the big air small Crystal Globe and the overall freestyle snowboarding big Crystal Globe, showcasing her versatility and consistency across disciplines. During this period, she also achieved a slopestyle gold at the X Games and became the big air world champion in Sierra Nevada in 2017, a victory marked by her execution of the first-ever women’s backside double cork 1080 mute in competition. Her second Olympic Winter Games at PyeongChang 2018 saw her make history, winning the big air event to become the first female big air Olympic gold medalist with her signature cab double cork 1080.
