Lee Bradbury was a professional English footballer who has made over 500 appearances in the Football League. After his playing career came to an end, he started a successful managerial career. Born in 1975 on the Isle of Wight, he started his sporting career playing part-time for Halstead Town while on leave from the British Army. Following his career in the army, he would then start playing football professionally for Portsmouth. During the season of 1996-97, Bradbury would make such a dramatic impression that he caught the attention of footballing giants Manchester City, who paid a then-club record of £3 million to sign the player.
Braddbury would spend a season at Manchester City before being poached by a fellow Premier League side for £1.5 million, where again he would spend a season returning to Portsmouth. Whilst back with Portsmouth, he would again start to impress throughout 100 appearances. During this spell, he was loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County before enjoying spells at Walsall, Oxford and Southend.
Once his playing career reached its conclusion, Bradbury began a managerial career at Bournemouth after Eddie Howe left to manage Burnley, leading them to the League One play-offs. He would then go on to manage Havant and Waterlooville, before taking the helm at Eastbourne Borough in May 2019.
