Leo Rolly Carnando is a young Indonesian badminton player recognized for his talent and remarkable career progression. After securing multiple junior boys’ and mixed doubles titles throughout 2016 and 2017, Leo Rolly Carnando gained significant momentum in 2018, culminating in a gold medal in mixed doubles at the Markham World Junior Championships in November with Indah Cahya Sari Jamil. That same year, Carnando earned his first BWF sanctioned tournament titles in boys’ doubles at both the India Junior International and Malaysia International Junior Open, partnering with Daniel Marthin. He further expanded his senior success by winning both mixed and men’s doubles titles at the Bangladesh International and a mens doubles title at the Turkey International.
His strong performance continued into 2023, where he and Marthin secured victories at the prestigious Indonesia Masters and Thailand Masters, in addition to reaching the finals of the Hong Kong Open. Maintaining his competitive edge, Carnando began 2024 by once again winning the Indonesia Masters with Daniel Marthin. He further broadened his partnerships by winning the Korea Open with Bagas Maulana. Looking ahead to 2025, Carnando is slated to earn a bronze medal at the Asian Championships with Bagas Maulana and is a runner-up at the All England Open, further solidifying his standing as a leading talent in men’s doubles badminton.
