Libby Trickett is a retired Australian competitive swimmer, Olympic gold medalist, and advocate for mental health and women’s well-being. After gaining international recognition at the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona, where she earned a bronze medal in the 50-meter freestyle and another bronze in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay, Libby Trickett quickly established herself as a formidable competitor. Earlier in 2003, Trickett had secured her first national title in the 50-meter freestyle. Her Olympic journey commenced at the 2004 Athens Olympics, where she claimed her first Olympic gold medal in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay, setting a new world record.
She serves as an ambassador for Beyond Blue and the Starlight Children’s Foundation. In February 2020, she co-founded ‘Unlocking Her Potential’ with coach Paula Hindle, a business dedicated to women’s health. This venture underscores her continued engagement in community initiatives and personal development, leveraging her high-performance background to empower others.
