American indoor volleyball player Madi Kingdon plays for both the US National Team as well as the Turkish Airlines Volleyball Club.
Kingdon was known for her sporting prowess throughout school, being selected for both the A2 and the USA Junior National teams during her time there. She won numerous titles, including Gatorade Player of the Year and Arizona Republic’s Player of the Year in 2010. Her top level performances continued throughout her time at the University of Arizona and Kingdon began her professional career straight after leaving college. Her first season was with Azerrail Baku as part of the Azerbaijan Superleague before moving to the Korean V League when she was signed to the Hwaseong IBK Altos. Her 2018/2019 season saw her signed to the Beijing Baic Motors Club, leading the team to victory in the Chinese Super League Championship title. Kingdon is currently a member of the Turkish Airlines Volleyball Club, competing in the first division of the Turkish League.
Alongside her club career, Kingdon has also enjoyed a successful international career as part of the US Women’s Team. She took home a bronze medal at the 2016 Pan American Cup, as well as the title of Best Spiker. In 2018, Kingdon and the team won the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League title, a title they defended along with their Pan American Cup win the following year.
