Madi Kingdon Rishel is an American indoor volleyball player who has transitioned from a decorated collegiate career to an international professional athlete, and most recently, a standout in the burgeoning US professional volleyball leagues. After being named AVCA All-America Third-Team for indoor volleyball and AVCA Sand Volleyball All-American during the 20142015 season, Madi Kingdon Rishel was the only player in the country to receive All-American honors in both formats. Rishel graduated in 2015 with a degree in sport management/marketing. Her earlier achievements include receiving the Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year award in 2010 and being a three-time Class 4A Division I champion in high school.

She was also selected to the 2011 U.S. Women’s Junior National Team, which placed fourth at the FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship in Peru, and contributed a silver medal with the U.S. Women’s Junior A2 Team at the USA Volleyball Open National Championships. Her foundational impact was recognized with induction into the Sunnyslope Hall of Fame in 2024, including the retirement of her jersey number.

Kingdon Rishel then embarked on a prolific international professional career, beginning in 2015 with Azerrail Baku in the Azerbaijan Superleague, where she won the championship and received MVP honors. From 2016 to 2018, she played for Hwaseong IBK Altos in South Korea’s V-League, clinching a championship title and MVP honors in 2017. She moved to China, joining Beijing Baic Motor Women’s Volleyball Club for the 2018-2019 season, contributing to an undefeated preseason and a Chinese Super League Championship. From 2019 to 2023, Kingdon Rishel played for Türk Hava Yollar? in Turkey, earning a bronze medal in the 2020-2021 season.
