Mahmoud Dahoud

Mahmoud Dahoud made his senior professional debut on August 27, 2014, in a Europa League play-off match for Borussia Mönchengladbach against FK Sarajevo, quickly establishing himself as a formidable midfielder in the Bundesliga. During the 2015–16 season, Dahoud’s role significantly expanded at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he contributed five goals and nine assists in 32 league appearances. His instrumental performance helped the team secure a fourth-place finish in the Bundesliga, directly qualifying for the prestigious UEFA Champions League, where he made his debut in September 2015 against Sevilla. He scored his first goal for the club on September 23, 2015, against Augsburg, and continued his impactful play into the 2016–17 season, netting his first European goal in the Europa League against Schalke.

In 2017, Dahoud transferred to Borussia Dortmund in a move valued at €12 million, marking a significant step in his career. He debuted for Dortmund on August 6, 2017, in the DFL-Supercup. His first Bundesliga goal for the club followed on August 26, 2018, against RB Leipzig. During his tenure, Dahoud was a key part of Dortmund’s success, contributing to their DFL-Supercup victory in 2019 and playing a crucial role in their DFB-Pokal triumph in the 2020–21 season, providing a pivotal assist in the final.

In February 2024, he moved to VfB Stuttgart on loan, where he quickly made an impact, scoring his first goal for the club. He was also called up to the Syria national team in March 2024, acknowledging his professional standing globally. Dahoud continued his career progression in August 2024, making a permanent move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
