Malik Willis

Malik Willis first showcased his exceptional dual-threat capabilities during his senior high school season in 2016, where he passed for 2,562 yards and rushed for 1,033 yards, accumulating 37 total touchdowns. Following this, Willis played two seasons for Auburn University in 2017 and 2018, completing 11 of 14 passes for 69 yards and one touchdown, while adding 309 rushing yards and two touchdowns across 15 games. In 2019, Willis transferred to Liberty University, quickly making an impact by becoming the team’s starting quarterback in 2020, amassing 2,250 passing yards and 20 touchdowns in his debut season. His stellar performance at Liberty continued, earning him the prestigious Dudley Award in 2020 as the best college football player in Virginia.

Willis was further recognized with the Bobby Bowden Award in 2021 for his character as a Christian student-athlete. He led Liberty to a 17-6 record during his tenure, securing MVP honors for both the 2020 Cure Bowl and the 2021 LendingTree Bowl. In 2021, he threw for 2,857 passing yards and 27 touchdowns, solidifying his collegiate legacy. Willis’s impressive college career culminated in his selection by the Tennessee Titans in the third round (86th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft, where he signed a four-year rookie contract.

His impactful performance in 2024 included achieving a remarkable 124.8 passer rating with 550 yards and three touchdowns, establishing the best single-season mark in NFL history for quarterbacks with over 50 attempts. This record-breaking achievement underscores Willis’s current status as a highly marketable and impactful NFL talent.
