Marcus Ehning

Marcus Ehning is a German show jumper and Olympic champion, renowned for his distinct riding style and consistent record of success in international show jumping competitions. After securing back-to-back team gold medals at the European Young Rider Championships in 1993 and 1994, Marcus Ehning established himself as a formidable force in international show jumping. He quickly progressed to senior success, achieving victories in prestigious Nations Cups and Grand Prix events, including the Warsaw Grand Prix, with horses such as Orchidee, Opium, and Talan. Ehning further demonstrated his elite capabilities by earning a team gold medal at the European Championships in Hickstead in 1999, culminating in his team gold medal victory at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics.

He remains a prominent figure in elite competitions such as the Longines League of Nations and the FEI World Cup. Beyond his active competition schedule, Ehning is deeply involved in the development of future talent, actively training young horses, underscoring his comprehensive impact on the equestrian world.
