Marquise Goodwin achieved world-class recognition in track and field, winning the long jump at the 2008 World Junior Championships in Athletics. He continued to excel, setting a national high school record in the long jump at the 2009 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. In 2011, he claimed the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field long jump title, subsequently qualifying for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he finished 10th in the long jump final.
In 2021, he signed with the Chicago Bears, contributing his formidable receiving skills. The following year, in 2022, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks, adding depth and experience to their receiving corps. Most recently, in 2023, Marquise Goodwin signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns, continuing his distinguished career as an NFL wide receiver.
