Martha Plimpton

Martha Plimpton is an American actress with a career spanning film, television, and stage, recognized for her versatile performances across various genres. After gaining widespread recognition as Stef Steinbrenner in Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Goonies’ (1985), Martha Plimpton went on to establish herself as a versatile actress across film, television, and stage. Her early career saw her in a small role in ‘Rollover’ (1981) and appearances in Calvin Klein commercials in the early 1980s. She secured her initial substantial film role in ‘The River Rat’ (1984) before her breakthrough in ‘The Goonies.’ Plimpton continued to build a strong filmography, including a role in ‘Family Ties’ (1985), ‘The Mosquito Coast’ (1986), and earned a Young Artist Award nomination for her performance in ‘Running on Empty’ (1988).
