After making his debut as a presenter for the BBC children’s television show ‘Blue Peter’ on June 25, 1999, Matt Baker quickly established himself as a versatile and adventurous talent. During his seven years on ‘Blue Peter’ until 2006, he undertook numerous physical challenges, including training as a stuntman and passing recruitment courses for the Royal Marines and Parachute Regiment. In 2003, he achieved a tandem world record-breaking hang glider flight with instructor Judy Leden MBE.
