Mimi Faust, born Oluremi Fela James, is a reality television celebrity who appears on the 2012 VH1 show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, a VH1 spin-off of Love & Hip Hop. She was cast with Stevie J, her daughter’s father; K. Michelle, a singer; Rasheeda, a rapper; Karlie Redd, a musician/actress; and Joseline Hernandez, a rapper. Ariane Davis, Faust’s friend, was also cast in a recurring role on the show. Her relationship with Stevie J and their daughter Eva was featured on the programme. It also featured the couple’s love triangle with castmate Joseline Hernandez.
Faust was raised in Atlanta with her older sister and brother, immersed in African culture, but her mother took her away from her home, siblings, and normal life when she was eight years old, devoting them both to the practise of Scientology in California. Mimi desired more than her mother’s billion-year contract, which included a strict schedule, hard study of the practice, and limited family time. At the age of 13, she was pulled from her mother and left to fend for herself after resisting an ultimatum to join Scientology.
Faust began to use her network to pursue what she wanted after making connections in high places over the years. With a new sense of purpose and motivation, she started cleaning and interior decorating for celebrities’ houses, which grew into the thriving firm Keep It Clean. Faust appeared in the music videos for Kelly Price’s single “It’s Gonna Rain” and Pharrell Williams’ track “Frontin’,” which featured rapper Jay-Z, between 1999 and 2003. The video also featured actress Lauren London and model Lanisha Cole. In 2017, Faust appeared on the television show Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, and discussed her childhood experiences.
