Myanna Buring

Myanna Buring is a British-Swedish actress known for her roles in film and television, including ‘The Descent’, ‘The Witcher’, and ‘Ripper Street’. Her career spans diverse genres, establishing her as a versatile performer. After earning critical acclaim for her leading role as Sam in the 2005 horror film The Descent, Myanna Buring established herself as a versatile actress with a diverse filmography. A graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in 2004, Buring quickly made her mark with early television appearances in series such as ‘Murder Prevention’ and ‘Casualty’ in 2004.

Demonstrating an early interest in both performance and production, she also served as the associate director of the MahWaff Theatre Company. In 2006, she appeared in the popular BBC series ‘Doctor Who’ in the episode ‘The Impossible Planet’, further expanding her television presence. Buring continued to build a robust portfolio in the film industry, starring in the genre films ‘Doomsday’ (2008), ‘Lesbian Vampire Killers’ (2009), and ‘Kill List’ (2011). Her talent also reached a wider global audience with her role as Tanya Denali in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ (2011) and its sequel ‘Part 2’ (2012).
