Natalia Vorobieva is a highly decorated Russian freestyle wrestler, known for her Olympic gold and multiple World and European titles. After winning a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games in the 72kg freestyle division, Natalia Vorobieva cemented her status as a global force in wrestling. Her historic victory, achieved by defeating five-time World Champion Stanka Zlateva of Bulgaria, marked her as the first Russian woman to secure an Olympic title in this weight class. Prior to her senior international breakthrough, Vorobieva showcased her prodigious talent by earning consecutive World Junior Champion titles in the 72kg category in 2009 and 2010.

The year 2015 was particularly strong, with a Gold Medal at the prestigious Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin, a Gold Medal at the World Championships in the 69kg class, and a Bronze Medal at the European Games. Vorobieva maintained her Olympic contention, earning a Silver Medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in the 69kg class. In 2019, Vorobieva made a successful return to competitive wrestling, demonstrating remarkable adaptability and strength by winning a Gold Medal at the World Championships in the 72kg category.
