Nate Sky, born Ezekiel Runnion in Seattle, Washington, began engaging with music from an early age, writing songs, playing instruments, and rapping since he was six years old. His early life was characterized by growing up with a single mother in the Pacific Northwest, as his father left before his birth. His mother’s involvement in a touring band likely exposed him to the music industry. During his high school years, Sky also participated in basketball, indicating a diverse range of interests prior to his full immersion in music.

Sky released his debut hit single, “Everyday Life,” in 2012.
