Orbital, the influential electronic music duo, has consistently delivered groundbreaking soundscapes and electrifying live performances, cementing their legacy in electronic music. After their 1989 track ‘Chime’, recorded by Paul Hartnoll on a 4-track tape deck, gained early traction on DJ Jazzy M’s Oh Zone Records, Orbital went on to achieve significant industry acclaim. The electronic music duo, known for their groundbreaking soundscapes, saw ‘Chime’ re-released on FFRR Records, ultimately charting at number 17 in the UK and leading to an appearance on ‘Top of the Pops’ in 1990. Orbitals impactful live debut occurred at a club night by Que Pasa in Sevenoaks, followed by a performance at the Town and Country 2 in Islington, where they first performed under the name.
In 2024, the duo once again graced the Glastonbury Festival stage, delivering a high-profile performance that included collaborations with acclaimed artist Tilda Swinton and pop icon Mel C.
