Ozwald Boateng is a truly revolutionary menswear designer and fashion icon who has truly unique style and taste. He takes his cues from Saville Row and mixes up international flair into hugely detailed and striking pieces celebrated for their incredible craftsmanship. Ozwald’s work is characterised by a great use of colour, sharp cuts and fine fabrics paired with classic British tailoring. His high end suit styles have become much loved by a new generation of modern man looking to stand out. Of Ghanain decent but born in London, he fell in love with fashion and design as a young boy and quit his computing course to start a course in fashion any Southgate College. Inspired by his family and their rich heritage, he designed and created his first ever collection on a sewing machine owned by his mother. He later went on to sell the collection to Sprint in Covent Garden, London. Nowadays he is in demand all over the world and he has been enlisted to design clothes for a number of films as well as for internationally acclaimed actors like Daniel Day Lewis, Will Smith and Jamie Foxx. In his time he has won many awards such as a British Fashion Award in 2000 and an OBE from The Queen in 2006 as well as a 1996 award for Best Menswear Designer. He was appointed Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2007 and received a Veritas Award from Harvard in 2014.
