Canadian diver Pamela Ware is an Olympic finalist and World Championship silver medallist, known for competing in the 3m synchro alongside Jennifer Abel. One of the diving world’s most consistently successful stars, she has landed individual and team podium finishes at many of the sport’s major tournaments, including the World Aquatics Championships, the Diving World Cup and the Pan American Games.
Ware first found international success in 2013 with her FINA World Championships debut, and immediately made an impression with bronze medals in the 3m springboard and the 3m synchro with diving partner Jennifer Abel. Her achievement brought her widespread recognition, and Aquatics Canada would later name her their Female Athlete of the Year. Continuing to partner with Abel, Ware would perform at the top tier of the synchro event, picking up silver medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, at the 2015 FINA World Championship in Kazan, and at two consecutive FINA Diving World Cups – Shanghai 2014 and Rio de Janeiro 2016.
At the Pan American Games, Ware has made her mark in both the synchro and 3m individual events, notably winning silvers in both in 2015. She competed at her first Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, representing Canada in both the 3m springboard and the 3m synchro. In the latter, Ware and Abel landed in fourth place overall, narrowly missing out on a medal by less than one point. Today, Ware is consistently ranked amongst the best in the FINA Diving World Rankings in each of her events, and continues to represent Canada at the very highest level.
