Pat Mcafee

As a national Punt, Pass, and Kick champion, Pat McAfee quickly transitioned his athletic prowess to collegiate success at West Virginia University. There, he was named to the ESPN All-Bowl Team in 2007, became a semi-finalist for the Lou Groza Award in 2007, and earned second-team All-Big East honors. In his senior year, he set a school record for all-time scoring and was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award. McAfee then advanced to the professional ranks, drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft as the 222nd overall pick.

Following his retirement, McAfee swiftly pivoted to a highly successful media career. He initially joined Barstool Sports before establishing Pat McAfee Inc. in 2018, an independent media company that produces the highly popular ‘The Pat McAfee Show.’ The show quickly gained significant traction, leading to a partnership with SiriusXM and, in 2023, a landmark multi-year deal for the show to move to ESPN. Concurrent with his media company’s growth, McAfee also entered the world of professional wrestling, signing a contract with WWE in 2019.

His contributions to professional wrestling were recognized with the Rookie of the Year award from Wrestling Observer Newsletter in 2020 and an NXT Year-End Award for Rivalry of the Year in the same year. McAfee became a full-time commentator for WWE’s SmackDown in 2021 and is slated to join Raw full-time in 2025, further expanding his diverse media and entertainment presence. He continues to lead Pat McAfee Inc., overseeing the continued growth and influence of ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ as a cornerstone of sports analysis and entertainment.
