Pryor Baird

Pryor Baird, an Orcutt, California native, embarked on his musical journey as a toddler, fascinated by his uncle’s guitar playing. He received his first guitar at age three and began lessons shortly after, foreshadowing a lifelong dedication to music. During his college years, Baird performed with various groups before establishing his own band, Pryor Baird and the Deacons. This group performed regularly for nearly a decade, allowing Baird to hone his performance skills and stage presence.

His career took a significant turn when he relocated to Nashville to pursue a solo career in country music. Initially working various jobs to support himself, a friend encouraged him to audition for NBC’s “The Voice.” This opportunity led to a four-chair turn from the judges, and Baird joined Team Blake, ultimately reaching the Top Six of Season 14. This national exposure significantly elevated his profile, showcasing his bluesy, soulful country style to a broad audience.

Following his success on “The Voice,” Baird signed a recording and publishing deal with Black River Entertainment in 2020. This partnership marked a new phase in his career, with plans to release his debut solo music through the label. Throughout his progression from a local band leader to a national television contestant and now a solo recording artist, Baird has consistently demonstrated a blend of raw talent, relentless work ethic, and a genuine passion for country-rock music.
