Ravindra Jadeja

As the vice-captain of the victorious Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup, Ravindra Jadeja went on to establish himself as an acclaimed Indian cricketer, renowned for his all-rounder capabilities in batting, bowling, and fielding. He made his first-class debut in the 2006–07 Duleep Trophy and was subsequently picked for the Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League in 2008. Jadeja’s international debut came on February 8, 2009, in an ODI against Sri Lanka, where he scored an unbeaten 60 off 77 balls and was later awarded Man of the Match in the third ODI for a haul of four wickets. His Test debut followed on December 13, 2012, against England.

During the 2021 Indian Premier League, he hit an unbeaten 62 runs, including a joint-highest ever 37 runs in the final over, and later that year became the fifth Indian to achieve 2,000 runs and 200 wickets in Tests. A 2022 highlight included his record 175 score against Sri Lanka, an Indian Test record for the highest score by a No. 7 or lower. Returning in 2023 for the Border–Gavaskar Trophy, he achieved a five-wicket haul and became the Fastest Indian to take 250 wickets and score 2500+ runs in Test Cricket.

His impact for Chennai Super Kings continued, hitting a six and a four in the final two balls to secure their 2023 Indian Premier League victory. As a pivotal member of the Indian national team, Jadeja secured victories in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup and the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
