Rudi Ellis

Rudi Ellis is a professional netballer who has played for various Suncorp Super Netball teams and represented Australia in national development squads. After becoming a premiership player with the Victorian Fury in the Australian Netball League, Rudi Ellis commenced her professional netball journey as an extended squad member with the NSW Swifts in 2017. She continued to gain valuable experience and hone her defensive skills, joining the Melbourne Vixens as an extended squad member for both the 2018 and 2019 seasons. These early years provided a crucial foundation within the highly competitive Suncorp Super Netball environment, preparing her for a full-time role in the premier national league.

Parallel to her distinguished netball career, Ellis has actively pursued academic excellence, successfully completing a Bachelor of Professional Communications with a major in Journalism through RMIT. Her robust academic background has additionally opened doors to diverse opportunities in sports media, where she has effectively leveraged her expertise and unique athlete perspective. She has contributed to high-profile organizations including the Western Bulldogs AFLW media team and the Firebirds’ media team, demonstrating her multifaceted talent and marketability both on and off the court.
