Samuel Hall

Samuel Hall was born on August 20, 1995, and has established himself as a prominent British judoka competing in the -60 kg and -66 kg weight categories. His judo career began early, with national recognition at the cadet level. Hall secured his first British Cadet Championship (16-18) in the U46 category in 2009 in Sheffield, followed by a silver medal in the U55 category in 2010. These early national successes laid the foundation for his progression into junior and senior competitions.

Throughout his junior career, Hall demonstrated consistent performance, earning several medals in European Cups. He won the European Cup U21 in Kaunas twice, in both 2013 and 2014, and also secured a gold medal at the European Cup U21 in La Coruna in 2015. A significant junior achievement was a silver medal at the European Junior Championships in Oberwart in 2015 in the U60 kg category. He continued his national dominance, becoming a four-time British Senior Champion in 2016 (U66 kg), 2017 (U60 kg), 2019 (U60 kg), and 2021 (U60 kg).

Samuel Hall’s senior international career includes a gold medal at the 2021 Judo Grand Prix Zagreb in the -60 kg category and a bronze medal at the 2021 Judo Grand Slam Abu Dhabi. He also earned a silver medal representing England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in the -60 kg division. His recent achievements include a gold at the European Open Sarajevo in 2023 and two bronze medals at the European Open Warsaw in 2023 and 2024, showing sustained competitive results on the international circuit.
