The impressive sportsman Samuel Hall is a judoka, who competes in the -60kg and -66kg weight categories. He is an IJF Grand Prix Champion, as well as a Commonwealth Games Silver-medalist.
Born and raised in England, Hall started judo at a young age, and soon started competing at cadet and junior level in the -50kg weight category. By 2015 he had moved up to the -60kg weight class, going on to win Silver at the 2015 European Junior Championships. He moved up again in weight class, this time to -66kg, and at the European Cup held in London took Gold.
Hall moved up to senior competition and took Bronze at the 2017 European Cup as well as at the Men’s Continental Open (both in the -66kg category). He later dropped back down to the -60kg weight class, and in 2021 he took Gold at the IJF Grand Prix in Zagreb, and Bronze at the IJF Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi. He was then chosen to represent Great Britain at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and he went on to take an individual Silver. In 2022 he took Bronze at the IJF Grand Prix in Perth.
