Stephanie Sheh

Born on April 10, 1977, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and raised in California, Stephanie Sheh developed an early interest in acting during her school years. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999, she began her career working as a producer while simultaneously pursuing voice acting. Her professional training included studies at the Second City Training Center, East West Players, Susan Blu Voiceover Workshop, and the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.

Sheh made her voice acting debut as Silky in “I’m Gonna Be An Angel!” in 2001, adopting the moniker Jennifer Sekiguchi for some early roles. During this period, she also worked at Synch-Point, an animation production studio where she produced English dubs for anime, including “I’m Gonna Be An Angel!”. Her career quickly progressed, leading to significant roles such as Mamimi Samejima in “FLCL” (2000), Hinata Hyuga in the “Naruto” franchise (2005-2019), and Orihime Inoue in “Bleach” (2004-2014, 2022-present). Her work expanded into video games, often reprising her anime characters and originating roles like Tharja in “Fire Emblem: Awakening” (2012) and motion capture for Cereza in “Bayonetta” (2009).

Throughout her career, Sheh has accumulated a vast filmography across various media. Notably, she voiced Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon in Viz Media’s redub of the “Sailor Moon” franchise (2014-2019) and “Sailor Moon Crystal” (2015-2017). Beyond acting, she has held roles as an ADR director, writer, and casting director for numerous projects, including significant contributions to “Your Name.” (2017) and “Liz and the Blue Bird” (2018). In 2011, she founded “We Heart Japan,” a fundraising organization in response to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, demonstrating her engagement beyond her artistic endeavors.
