Steve Agee

Born on February 26, 1969, in Riverside, California, Steven Douglas Agee is an American comedian, actor, writer, and musician. His career began in the early 2000s, gaining recognition for his comedic timing and distinctive roles. Agee is notable for his collaborations with filmmaker James Gunn, which have significantly impacted his presence in the superhero genre.

His early work included writing for the popular late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” from 2005 to 2008, contributing to over 300 episodes and showcasing his writing skills. Agee also developed his acting career with appearances in various television series and films. A significant turning point came with his involvement in the DC Extended Universe, where he took on the role of John Economos in “The Suicide Squad” (2021) and provided the on-set portrayal of King Shark before Sylvester Stallone’s voice-over. This collaboration continued with the HBO Max series “Peacemaker” (2022–present), further cementing his role in the franchise.

Beyond his work in the DCEU, Agee has held recurring roles such as Steven Ned Myron III in “The Sarah Silverman Program” (2007–2010), Outside Dave in “New Girl” (2013–2018), and Isaac in “Superstore” (2016–2021). His vocal talents have been featured in animated series like “Bob’s Burgers” (2011–2022) and “Rick and Morty” (2014–2025).
