Tatanka

Tatanka is a professional wrestler globally recognized for his impactful career in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he consistently demonstrated skill and dedication. After beginning his professional wrestling career in 1990, Tatanka quickly established himself, initially as ‘War Eagle’ Chris Chavis for the North American Wrestling Association. That year, he was voted third runner-up for PWI Rookie of the Year and captured the South Atlantic Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. In 1991, he signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), adopting the ring name Tatanka.

He made his televised WWF debut in February 1992, immediately embarking on an impressive, nearly two-year undefeated streak. This dominant period included a significant victory over Rick Martel at WrestleMania VIII (1992) and a WWF Intercontinental Championship match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania IX (1993), which he won by disqualification. His acclaimed undefeated run concluded in October 1993 after a loss to Ludvig Borga. Upon his return in 1994, Tatanka engaged in high-profile feuds with figures such as Bam Bam Bigelow and Irwin R.

His engagement with WWE continued with a notable appearance for Raw Legends Night in 2021, reaffirming his enduring popularity and respect within the industry.
