About

Tiffany Kiara Hayes was born on September 20, 1989, in Winter Haven, Florida. She attended Winter Haven High School, where she led her basketball team to a combined record of 117-9 and state championships in 2004 and 2007. Her exceptional talent was recognized early, accumulating 18.3 points per game and earning MVP honors at the Nike Nationals in 2007, along with First Team All-State 5A selection in Florida. Hayes later attended the University of Connecticut, a program she admired since childhood. As a Husky, she contributed to two national championships in 2009 and 2010 and helped the team achieve a remarkable 147-7 record. During her college career, Hayes was a two-time All-BIG EAST First Team selection and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2012 Kingston Regional, concluding her collegiate career as an Associated Press Third Team All-American.

Hayes was selected 14th overall in the 2012 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream, immediately making an impact by being named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team. Over her tenure with the Dream, she consistently developed her game, leading the team in scoring in 2017 with a career-high 16.3 points per game, which earned her a WNBA All-Star selection. The 2018 season marked a significant milestone as she was named to the All-WNBA First Team and WNBA All-Defensive Second Team, finishing sixth in MVP balloting. In 2023, Hayes joined the Connecticut Sun, where she appeared and started in all 40 games, reaching 4,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. She became only the seventh player in WNBA history to achieve at least 4,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 750 assists, 300 steals, and 350 three-point field goals in 307 games. In 2024, after briefly announcing her retirement, Hayes signed with the Las Vegas Aces and was named the WNBA Sixth Player of the Year, affirming her continued value and impact in professional basketball. She later signed with the Golden State Valkyries in 2025.

Throughout her career, Hayes has also played extensively overseas across multiple countries including Israel, Turkey, Brazil, Poland, and Spain, demonstrating her global presence in basketball. She has also represented both the United States and Azerbaijan in international competitions, notably winning a gold medal at the 2009 World University Games with the U.S. team and participating in the 2024 Summer Olympics for the Azerbaijan women’s 3×3 basketball team. Beyond her athletic achievements, Tiffany Hayes has ventured into entrepreneurship, launching her community-based fashion brand, Seyah Renara, which merges her passion for style with her professional identity.
