Tim Hardaway Sr is a former basketball player turned basketball coach and entrepreneur. He is a celebrated NBA player who was known for his speed and agility. His charisma on the court won him legions of fans.

Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, Hardaway endured a tough childhood, but showed resilience, channelling his emotions into playing basketball. He was driven to become a better and more skilful player. After graduating from university with a degree in criminal justice, he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors. His success really ramped up when he played for Miami Heat in the NBA – his unique ability to dribble and shoot established his status as one-to-watch on the court. Later in his career, he played for the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets. Alongside the NBA, he also played for the US Olympic Basketball Team in 2000. He and his team reached gold-medal victory and star status on the world stage in this tournament.

After getting an injury Hardaway used this event as an opportunity to expand his career and skillset. In 2014, he became an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons, teaming up with the legendary Stan van Gundy. This experience saw him to pass on his unique and distinctive skills, whilst improving his own knowledge of basketball strategy.
